Tubing and Assemblies
Tubing is an extruded, round shape made from rubber, plastic, or metal. Â It is usually non-reinforced, but can be obtained with fabric or wire reinforcement for added strength and/or to prevent kinking during a bend. Â Tubing differs from hose in that hose contains a tube, reinforcement for burst pressure, and an outside cover.
There are hundreds of materials and formulations available to suit your specific application. Â In general, our tubing is either plastic or rubber based. Â Plastic tubes are made from PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE, FEP, PFA, and nylon. Â Our rubber tubes are made from neoprene, latex, thermoplastic, polyurethane, natural gum rubber, silicone, and fluorocarbon.
